FirstVet is a Swedish digital veterinary clinic founded in 2016 by David Prien, Per Victor, Joakim Widigs and Lars-Martin Norviit. The service offers pet owners the opportunity to consult with licensed veterinarians via an app or website through video calls, providing quick access to advice, treatment or referral without having to visit a physical clinic.
FirstVet provides video consultations where pet owners can receive advice and assessments from licensed veterinarians. The service is available in multiple countries, including Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, the United Kingdom, Germany, and the United States. FirstVet partners with over 60 insurance companies, enabling free consultations for many insured pets.
FirstVet generates revenue through a combination of paid consultations, partnerships with insurance providers, and sales of pet products via its e-commerce platform. The company also offers subscription services and collaborates with insurers to integrate its offerings into insurance packages.
Since its founding, FirstVet has expanded its operations across several European markets as well as the United States. The company has conducted over one million video consultations and works with approximately 400 affiliated veterinarians. FirstVet has also launched an online store for pet products and secured funding from investors including Mubadala Capital, OMERS Ventures, Creandum, and Cathay Innovation.

Create an account with us - it's free and takes a few minutes. When you find a company you want to invest in, submit an expression of interest. Our brokers will screen and match you with counterparties, and when a match is made, you will sign a brokerage agreement, followed by a purchase agreement with information on price and terms. You then make the payment via your bank according to the instructions. The shares are delivered to your custody account or confirmed directly by the company, depending on how the company's shares are held.
